ABX is a young, fast-growing chemical and pharmaceutical company based in Saxony, Germany. We are the global market leader in the production of precursors and kits for PET diagnostics. These are mainly used in the detection of tumours by positron emission tomography (PET).ABX currently employs over 360 people. Due to our strong market position we have a continuous profitable growth. Since 2007 we have been part of a large Japanese pharmaceutical group. 
For our research department in radiochemistry, we are looking for employees for synthesis development and automation as soon as possible.

Qualification

  • Successfully completed studies in natural sciences (at least M.Sc.)
  • Willingness to work with radioactive compounds
  • Practical experience with HPLC, GC and TLC
  • Quick comprehension, structured and precise way of working
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently but also in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to develop professionally

Task

Your tasks will include carrying out organic syntheses with radionuclides and the subsequent automation of the syntheses on various synthesis machines. Within this field of activity you will be responsible, among other things, for 
  • Development, optimisation and automation of radiosyntheses with various radionuclides
  • Development of analytical methods for the for the radiotracers produced
  • Development of separation methods for the preparation of radio-nuclides produced at the cyclotron and their analysis
  • Conscientious documentation of test results and the preparation of development reports
